Sunday, February 20 - Thursday, February 24 A retreat for busy students sponsored by the Office of Campus Ministry This retreat is designed as an opportunity for you to explore your personal story and learn more about yourself alongside a Spiritual Companion. The Retreat Team asks that you dedicate at least 30 minutes to prayer each day of the retreat (Monday - Thursday). To aid your time in prayer, the Team has compiled a journal of their personal reflections around one question: “Do I trust God has a plan for my life?” Please use the journal + reflections as a starting point for your daily prayer. We also encourage you to not let your prayer end there. Follow the Spirit’s lead, pray in the way most comfortable to you, and, by all means, try something new! A Spiritual Companion is someone who journeys with you for the week of the retreat, listening to you, praying with you, and, at times, offering guidance much like an older friend might. They are mature followers of Christ who want to help you understand God’s calling in your life, but their role is not to tell you what exactly is your calling. You will meet them for at least 30 minutes a day to help you along your journey. All the retreat is asking of you is 1 hr. a day total, (split up into two 30 minute slots) perfect for those with BUSY SCHEDULES! An essential component of the Busy Person’s Retreat is the time spent meeting with one of our Spiritual Companions. In order to set up your meeting times, it is essential you come to the Opening Meal held on Sunday, February 20th, 2022 from 6:30-8pm. The Opening Meal will take place in the Stritch Dining Hall is a REQUIRED opening meeting and reflection, followed by Mass in the De La Salle (Stritch) Chapel. At this time, you will be introduced to the retreat, participate in group reflection, and open the week in prayer. On Thursday, February 24th from 5-6:30 pm in the De La Salle Chapel (next to Stritch Hall) we will have a Closing Mass and dinner. This dinner is not required, but we believe it will be a powerful opportunity to share our experiences of the retreat in a loving community. If you would like to just join us for the dinner and not the Mass, please arrive at 5:30pm in the Stritch Dinning Hall. Please let the Retreat Team leader who signed you up for the retreat know if you do not plan to attend the dinner no later than Tuesday, February 15th.
